Chris Knight, Photojournalist
I live the dream. The dream of anyone who aspires
to make a career of his passions.
News, Sports,
Travel and Photography.
Growing
up an Air Force brat, I traveled the nation and the world when I was
young. Now living with my wife and two kids in the beautiful
picturesque Pennsylvania Dutch town of Lititz in South Central
Pennsylvania, I still travel for work, recreation and a continuing
life's education.
During a
fifteen-year career my images
have appeared in the New
York Times, Los
Angeles Times, Philadelphia
Inquirer,
Philadelphia Daily News,
USA
Today, Chicago Sun-Times,
Newark Star-Ledger,
New Orleans Times-Picayune,
The
Oregonian, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
and Washington Post
among others.
I credit a
great deal of my drive,
success and vision to having been fortunate enough to work with
Pulitzer Prize winning AP legend Paul Vathis,
for the last seven years of his life. That gave me a rare insight into
professional
photojournalism that few get the opportunity to absorb.
I carry the Vathis view with me on every job and every shoot that I do,
visualizing every photo as the most important photo I have ever taken.
My
co-workers and employers see me as a team player and a professional as
well as an innovative leader in the arts and science of modern
photojournalism. Enjoy this sample of my work--of my passion--as much
as I enjoyed creating them.
